Hello lovelies, hope your week has been smooth? I've had my own share of sweetness, yeah! Finally finished my exams for the semester and I'm so happy, you won't believe who's happy too, MY HAIR!!!!!
Throughout my examinations, my dry and thirsty hair suffered so much because I never had time for it and Saturday after my last paper I visited Watsons here in my city for products hunting and I found 80 percent of my hair needs. Yeah!
I got all the oils have been looking for except Argan and Coconut oils, hopefully to check some other time and I found a secret weapon too *winks*
I prepooed my hair with a mixture of (Extra virgin olive oil, Castor, Almond oil and a little quantity of water) for almost 1 hour, mostly because I was waiting for my boiled water to cool outside in the cold. Due to the chlorine content in the water here, I usually boil my cold water and allow it cool without having to use the hot water from the tap and it reduces hardness of the water.
Next step was Shampooing with the Shea moisture raw shea butter Moisture Retention Shampoo and boy did I love it! My hair finally found a new lover...
Conditioned with John Frieda's Frizz ease Smooth Start Conditioner (secret weapon) for 30 minutes because my hair is actually very thick and I washed it afterwards and reconditioned with the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter restorative conditoner for 15 minuttes.
Then I applied a mixture of avocado oil and Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter restorative conditoner as my leave-in conditioner after air drying my hair.
Finally twisted my hair in small sections and covered with a satin scarf..
When I got ready to leave for church the next day, I decided to loosen the twists and behold I got my first twists out.. hahahaha. I wasn't very confident about going out like that because I was looking so different but then I summoned courage because I was tired of wearing a wig and I was loving my new look.... I got a lot of compliments from people but I only believed the ones from my close friends because sometimes people just compliment to make you feel good..
Do have a fulfilling week....
xoxo
